Datalogic introduces the new DS4600, a high performance compact laser scanner with immunity to ambient light

Datalogic introduces the new DS4600, a high performance compact laser scanner, providing a flexible and affordable solution for all medium range materials handling applications.

The DS4600 is the only scanner in its category to feature immunity to ambient light, achieved by means of the high frequency modulation of the laser light.

Datalogic pioneered this technology, which allows outdoor installation and avoids reading station screening.

The DS4600 can perform real time decoding of all the most popular linear symbologies up to a reading distance of one metre.

Two decoding technologies are available: Datalogic's new generation RISC dual processor decoder for high decoding performance and exceptional cost-effectiveness, and the powerful DSP-based high performance decoder implementing second generation ACRTM advanced code reconstruction.

This code reconstruction capability dramatically enhances the readability of poorly printed or damaged codes.

The DS4600 is particularly suited to automated warehousing and manufacturing applications, such as conveyor sorting, label verification, picking systems, tracking, WIP and quality control, and OEM applications such as automatic storage and labelling machines.

Flexible, scalable, and technologically advanced, the DS4600 will strengthen Datalogic's leadership in bar code reading for industrial applications.
