Datalogic reports first half 2006 revenues of Eur 102.1 million, an increase of 18% on the same period last year.

Datalogic reports first half 2006 revenues of Eur 102.1 million, an increase of 18% on the same period last year (net of PCS).

The company has recorded consolidated sales revenues of Eur 190 million, up 119% on the Eur 86.6 million in the first half of 2005, with revenues rising to Eur 95.1 million in the second quarter of the current period, increasing by 90.5% against Eur 49.9 million in Q2 2005.

The group's consolidation area has changed since 2005, and 2006 revenues also include sales from PSC acquired at the end of the previous financial year and consolidated as from December 2005.

The position net of PSC is also very favourable with Datalogic's first half 2006 sales up 18% to reach Eur 102.1 million.

This positive performance is a result of upwards trends in both the Data Capture Division (sales were Eur 64.8 million in the first half of the year, up 7% year on year) and the Business Development Division (Eur 37.3 million as of 30th June 2006, up 42% on 30th June 2005).

Overall revenues in the second quarter of 2006 reached Eur 51.4 million, showing an increase over the Eur 49.9 million for the same time period in the last financial year.

"The stratospheric growth in business during the first half of the financial year", commented Roberto Tunioli, Datalogic CEO, "is a concrete sign of the effects of the recent and important acquisition campaign".

"The integration activities are proceeding speedily and allow us to look to the future with optimism".
