Optimised data collection

A DLoG (UK) product story

The latest enhancements to DLoG's TipData data collection module take full advantage of Version 9.1 of Preactor's finite capacity scheduling and planning system.

The latest enhancements to DLoG's TipData data collection module take full advantage of the capabilities offered by the newly-released Version 9.1 of Preactor's finite capacity scheduling and planning system.

Among new features is a communications program that allows the Preactor planning board to be updated in real-time through a unique messaging system.

This is harnessed by DLoG's latest TipData software to enable operators to view and select jobs from a 'work-to' list using shopfloor terminals.

As the job is selected, the 'work-to' list is automatically updated.

It is similarly updated on completion of the batch.

The planning board may be updated with job start signals, mid batch information detailing the progress of a particular job, or completion messages.

In addition, the Preactor system can be configured to automatically close preceding operations as the subsequent one is started - to meet the needs of users wishing to minimise bookings, either by recording selected operations or only when jobs are completed.
