Networking and manufacturing data solutions specialist DLoG (UK) has introduced a new 15in TFT screen remote display unit for industrial use.

The ultracompact DNeT RD 15 measures just 308 x 395 x 62mm and is fully compatible with standard PCs or DLoG's industrial PC (IPC) range.

It meets IP65 protection standards and is both vibration and shock resistant, making it equally suitable for static or vehicle mounted applications.

The unit's XGA resolution is backed by excellent readability, even in bright daylight conditions, along with a set of soft keys that enables users to easily adjust screen brightness to their individual requirements.

The DNeT RD 15 can not only be used in place of standard computer monitors, avoiding conflict with any customer-specific hardware specification constraints that may be in force, but also provides an attractive upgrade path as computer base units grow older or become obsolete.

In addition, units can be daisychained to provide an additional remote display, or touch screen input device, to an existing installation.

Used in this way, the DNeT RD 15 is ideal for data collection use on large machine installations - such as packing lines - where the operator may be working up to 15m away from the base unit, with displays positioned at one or more points along the line.

Suitable for use with AC or DC power inputs, the DNeT RD 15 is supplied with USB 1.1, mouse and keyboard ports at the base of the display unit, all safely protected by a cable cover.
