Multi-functional hardware concept for industrial hand-held computer is expandable to include add-on features such as WLAN, GPS, GSM, pick by voice, RFID, Bluetooth, imagers, cameras and the like.

DLog has introduced a hand-held industrial computer with 17.8cm TFT touchscreen display.

For warehousing and logistics sector applications, the XMDA measures 256 by 131 by 40mm and weighs 900g.

It exceeds IP65 protection standards and is certified to withstand a 1.2m drop test.

It is equipped with shock absorbing end caps for extra durability.

Its flexible, multi-functional hardware concept is expandable to include add-on features such as WLAN, GPS, GSM, pick by voice, RFID, Bluetooth, imagers, cameras and the like.

There are integrated ports for headsets, speakers and scanners.

Inside is an Intel PXA 270 520MHz CPU and it is loaded with Microsoft Windows CE 5.0.

The unit is suitable for hand-held operation - for example, as a scanner in warehousing environments - or in various vehicle mounted applications.

The lithium polymer battery management system gives up to eight hours life in mobile use.

It is for operating environments from - 25 to + 50C, and is available with up to 1Gbyte of expanded compact flash or SD/SDIO memory.

Options include stylus pen and 2m shoulder strap.
