If performance is falling behind, the Jazz Data Collection Terminal will provide visual feedback, allowing prompt action to avoid late delivery.
DLoG's Jazz Data Collection Terminal (DCT) allows operators to monitor machine activity using one or more of its 16 digital inputs.
It is equipped with digital outputs that may be used to sound alarms or provide visual warnings in the event of a stoppage.
It can also record nonproductive events and can be configured to prohibit the restarting of a machine until a downtime reason has been entered, ensuring that all data is comprehensively and correctly recorded.
The terminals can be networked using an Ethernet cabled network or a wireless LAN.
Choosing the most appropriate terminal depends on the customer's functional requirements.
If they wish to view graphics or run other applications in the manufacturing area, then a PC-based solution is the best choice.
However, if the sole requirement is to collect data, this new terminal provides a very cost-effective option.
It is quite common to mix and match terminal types as requirements vary from one manufacturing area to another.
If a more sophisticated terminal is required, the IPC7 provides a faster processor, improved graphics and a wireless network option.
In order to maximise the value of collected information, it is essential for it to be collected and viewed in real time.
Noticing a problem as soon as it occurs enables it to be addressed immediately, allowing output to be monitored against a target as the day progresses.

The system has more than 200 standard reports allowing display of downtime, OEE, quality data and pareto analysis.
These can be customised with daily, weekly or monthly reports set-up and run at the touch of a button.
The data may be exported to Microsoft Excel or in HTML format.
