Domnick Hunter can carry out a complete compressed air system "health check" and provide a full range of cost effective tailored maintenance programmes.

In conjunction with the British Retail Consortium (BRC), the British Compressed Air Society (BCAS) has introduced a code of practice to help food manufacturers comply with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) regulations regarding the use of compressed air in the food industry HACCP procedures were introduced by the 852/2004 European Regulation to establish good practice throughout the food supply chain in a "farm to table" process

The new industry driven code of practice sets out recommendations that cover all aspects of compressed air quality, including humidity and microbiological contamination in line with levels specified by ISO8573.1, the international standard for air quality.

It significantly identifies the air purity requirements for compressed air for both contact and noncontact applications.

Food manufacturers may have concerns that the new code will lead to cost increases if they are forced to source new equipment to meet higher compressed air quality requirements.

However, in reality, the majority of existing compressed air systems and installations will be easily updated with air treatment equipment such as high efficiency compressed air filters and dryers to satisfy the Code.

Domnick Hunter is renowned for providing innovative solutions and high efficiency, high quality compressed air treatment products which have been independently validated to ISO standards by Lloyds Register, the worlds leading approvals body.

As a full "customer service" organisation and to provide a guaranteed solution, Domnick Hunter can carry out a complete compressed air system "health check" and provide a full range of cost effective tailored maintenance programmes which will satisfy the testing requirements of the code.

Domnick Hunter can provide expert advice to ensure that your system complies with HACCP regulations while ensuring air quality at point of application is in accordance with ISO8573.1.

Coupled with its commitment to reduce inefficiencies and wastage, Domnick Hunter can also help significantly drive down the cost of production.
