Multitronic controller improves dryer efficiency
The Multitronic controller from domnick hunter can significantly improve the energy efficiency of most types of heatless, desiccant compressed air dryer to dramatically cut fuel bills.
The installation, which produces high-quality nitrogen from compressed air, was supplied as a complete turnkey package including a compressor, air receiver and a Domnick Hunter Maxigas nitrogen generator.
The skid mounted unit will be installed in Ireland and will be followed by other plants throughout Europe.
Ozmotech's ThermoFuel system converts plastics from a variety of sources, including recycled domestic waste, into diesel fuel that can be used in any standard truck, bus, boat or stationary diesel engine.
The company expects to divert more than 6800 tonnes of plastics away from landfill each year, with each of its plants producing six million litres of quality fuel.
"We use nitrogen at our facilities as a purge before and after every production cycle, this improves diesel quality by ensuring no oxygen or hydrocarbons exist in the system during the char removal process", said Daniel Fabiyanic, Operations Manager of Ozmotech.
He adds, "Nitrogen is also used to verify the integrity of mechanical seals to ensure safety is not compromised".
Fabiyanic continues, "On-site nitrogen gas generation is much more economical than having gas cylinders on standby if you have a high consumption rate".
"The Domnick Hunter on-site gas generation system was chosen by Ozmotech because our nitrogen consumption is quite high".
"We also prefer having a nitrogen supply always available on site".
Domnick hunter is a leading provider of filtration, purification and separation solutions.
Maxigas uses highly reliable pressure swing adsorption (PSA) technology to separate nitrogen molecules from normal compressed air and produce quality nitrogen gas with purities up to 10 parts per million as standard.
Nitrogen generators have several benefits over traditional gas supplies including cost savings, reduced downtime and increased safety, including elimination of the need to store or handle heavy high-pressure cylinders.
They also enable businesses to focus on core activities.
