Filters cut down kiln emissions
Maceira-Liz has reduced kiln emissions using baghouse filters equipped with filter bags made from Tetratex 6255 ultra-high-efficiency ePTFE membrane with woven glass fabric.
Donaldson, a leading worldwide provider of filtration systems and replacement parts, is a technology-driven company committed to satisfying customer needs for solutions through innovative research and development.
Donaldson serves customers in the diesel, engine and industrial markets, including in-plant air cleaning, compressed air and gas purification, power generation, disk drive filtration, off-road equipment and trucks.
The Hull plant manufactures filtration products for a wide range of applications, including Donaldson Membranes' high performance Tetratex ePTFE membranes: Tetratex Release, Tetratex, Tetratex High Efficiency and Tetratex Ultra High Efficiency.
These high performance laminates supply superior dust cake release, low pressure drop, higher air flow, and high efficiency.
ISO/TS16949:2002 eliminates the need for multiple certifications to meet customer requirements and stipulates the quality system specifications for design and development, production, installation and servicing.
"We are proud to have achieved this standard following a 12-month period of work involving most of our staff", said Hull Plant Quality Manager, Ian Metcalfe.
"We've had the ISO9001:2000 certificate for 15 years, so this project involved analysing gaps in the current system and rectifying them, improving working practices and writing new procedures".
"Attaining this new standard will open up opportunities in new markets as customers have previously requested us to become holders of the certificate".
"This is a truly international standard, prescribed by various quality institutes, including the British Standards Institution, and applies not only to Hull but to Donaldson throughout Europe, including Germany and its HQ in Belgium".
"Donaldson holds over 40 quality and environmental certifications in support of our customers and the communities of which we are a part".
