Dow Corning has opened an application centre in Moscow to provide local technical and market expertise for customers throughout Russia and the CIS.
Dow Corning has opened an application centre in Moscow to provide local technical and market expertise for customers throughout Russia and the CIS.
The new facility will significantly increase the company's ability to provide innovative solutions for customers, enabling them to develop new fully formulated product concepts as well as providing access to the latest formulation technologies and market trends.
By using the resources of the centre, Russian and CIS companies will be able to review Dow Corning's latest formulations, consult with the company's experts on how to develop new formulations or make existing ones work more effectively; and exchange knowledge about how silicon-based technologies can help take advantage of the latest developments in the marketplace.
Markus Ponleitner, General Manager of Dow Corning Russia, said the application centre represents the company's continued commitment to science and technology excellence and to supporting the needs of customers in Russia and CIS Asia region.
"Dow Corning has been active in Russia for more than 30 years, opening our representative office here two years ago when the economy began to grow and Russian customers were approaching us for new solutions and support", he said.
"The application centre gives us a new opportunity to work more closely with our Russian customers and understand their needs, especially in the areas of household cleaning products, cosmetics and personal care where there is strong demand for silicone-based materials and technologies".
The Moscow Application Centre is an expansion of the company's network of similar facilities around the world - from Belgium and Brazil to the USA and China - enabling the company's technology experts to get close to the needs of local customers and adapt products to suit local market conditions.
Launching its application centre in Moscow, Dow Corning points to the high growth potential of the Russian and CIS markets and sees new opportunities for successful business in the region, backed-up by stable macroeconomic growth, industrial development and long-term demand.
