Dresser Valve Division now offers a patented low noise rotary control valve package which combines low noise/anti-cavitation capabilities with high turndown ratios and non-clogging performance.

Following the recent acquisition of Texas-based Final Control Elements Inc, Dresser Valve Division now offers a patented low noise rotary control valve package The standard assembly includes the patented trim design packaged in a Grove B-5 Ball valve with Ledeen actuation and Masoneilan instrumentation

Known as T-Ball, the new product combines, uniquely, effective low noise/anti-cavitation capabilities with high turndown ratios(up to 300:1) and non-clogging performance.

Designed principally for severe service applications in Gas and Steam pipelines the T Ball combines the high capacity benefits of a standard ball valve with the noise and vibration reduction features of a globe-style control valve.

In operating conditions where high flow rates with minimal pressure drops are required the partial diffusers in the trim open up fully to allow nearly unrestricted flow.

Where high pressure drops and/or low flow rates are needed the partial diffusers will separate the flow into multiple streams to decrease velocity and noise levels, resulting in reduced potential for cavitation and erosion damage.

With sizes from 4"-20" and pressure classes ANSI 150-1500, noise attenuation on severest service is up to 15dBa.

The technology has been used successfully on compressor anti-surge control, gas transmission mainline interconnects, gas storage pressure and flow control, and mainline by-pass systems.
