Jones takes on Europe for SmarTeam

Chris Jones is the new President of European Operations for SmarTeam.

Chris Jones is the new President of European Operations for SmarTeam.

Jones will be a member of the company's General Executive Management team, providing a European perspective to the forum.

He will be based at SmarTeam Europe's headquarters in the UK at Borehamwood, Herts.

"SmarTeam's European operation have grown significantly and our representation now spreads across the continent.

Towards this end, we are pleased to welcome Chris to our global management team.

Jones joins SmarTeam from EDS PLM Solutions (formerly Unigraphics) where he served as Managing Director of the Engineering Animation Division, responsible for the UK, Holland, Israel and South Africa.

In the last three years Jones turned this loss-making division of EDS into a highly profitable business unit, and built a successful sales team that added quality accounts such as Rolls Royce, Land Rover, Proctor and Gamble and Lotus Cars to the UK user base.

With an engineering background and over 13 years of experience in the areas of management, sales, marketing, and business development, Chris brings a strong understanding of Internet-enabled collaborative product commerce solutions for manufacturers.
