A newly upgraded search process on the DSM Somos website allows OEMs to seek out service bureaux by location or by the Somos materials they offer.
As part of its "driving the market forward" campaign launched earlier this year, leading stereolithography resin developer DSM Somos has announced a new effort to connect OEMs with North American rapid prototyping (RP) service bureaux providing desired Somos materials.
"Most equipment manufacturers know exactly what they want from a prototype in terms of performance, turnaround time and cost", says Somos Marketing Manager Eva Montgomery.
"But it's often difficult to quickly identify which service bureaus are offering the most suitable resins for their applications".
Now, using a newly upgraded search process on the DSM Somos website, OEMs can seek out service bureaux by location or by the Somos materials they offer.
Key performance advantages are outlined for each product family to help users target the most suitable materials for their applications, and direct links to service bureau websites are also provided.
"Somos believes that by improving the connection between manufacturers and suppliers, we will promote relationships that ultimately drive the market forward in terms of both technology and application development", says Montgomery.
"We're committed to that end".
