Board aids simulation of intelligent actuators

A Dspace UK product story

The new DS4330 LIN interface board and corresponding RTI LIN Blockset enable Dspace Simulator to be connected to a Local Interconnect Network bus to simulate LIN slave nodes.

The new DS4330 LIN interface board and corresponding RTI (real-time interface) LIN Blockset enable Dspace Simulator to be connected to a Local Interconnect Network bus to simulate LIN slave nodes, such as intelligent sensors and actuators.

The DS4330 LIN interface board and the RTI LIN Blockset are specially tailored to meet the needs of the automotive environment.

With 16 independent LIN channels and 16 LIN slave nodes to be simulated per channel, the board and blockset are used for developing and testing electronic control units (ECUs) that are equipped with a LIN interface.

An important field of application for such ECUs is inexpensive serial communication systems, especially in-vehicle electronic comfort systems.

Equipped with an IBM PPC405CR 200MHz processor, the DS4330 LIN interface board can transmit and receive data (ie values and data transmission characteristics) from within a Simulink model.

The new RTI LIN Blockset allows an intuitive and convenient approach to configuring and simulating LIN nodes within Simulink.

It is possible to import files in the LIN database format (LDF) and database container (DBC) files for node configuration.

dSPACE will also provide a simulation option for LIN master nodes in the near future.
