Presspart exhibits deep-drawn components

A Presspart product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jun 4, 2009

Presspart, a division of the Heitkamp and Thumann Group, will be exhibiting its range of specialist deep-drawn metal components at Subcon in Birmingham, UK, from 9-11 June 2009, on stand G100.

Presspart's products include special-purpose components for a variety of industries and applications from electronics to utilities, heating and ventilation.

The company has specialised in deep-drawn technology for more than 35 years to manufacture metal components that require specialist production to precise standards.

Its processes include extremely long draws, ironed walls, multiple piercings and complex forms, and the company's capabilities extend to products from many different materials, including aluminium, stainless steel, carbon steel, brass, nickel, inconel and galfan.

The deep-drawn process is said to be more cost effective than modes such as swaging or machining.
