Following recent changes to the AMS2750 specification, Datapaq has carried out a comprehensive review of its thermocouples, data loggers and analysis software.

Following recent changes to the AMS2750 specification, to ensure they meet the new requirements, Datapaq has carried out a comprehensive review of its thermocouples, data loggers and analysis software Datapaq's thermocouples and loggers already exceed the accuracy requirements, but changes to the calibration were necessary and all equipment is now supplied with a certificate which satisfies the requirements of AMS2750D

Datapaq has updated its Furnace Insight Survey analysis software to comply with the new revision, and has also included some additional features for ease of use.

The software supervises the temperature uniformity survey (TUS) and alerts the user when an overshoot occurs, or when stabilisation at the TUS temperature has been achieved.

It incorporates all thermocouple and logger correction factors in the data, then calculates all required results such as maximum and minimum temperatures at each survey level.

Password protection is provided for extra security.

And users can automatically configure the TUS report to include all the requirements of AMS2750D.

Additional software features now include: automatic calculation of furnace class from raw survey data; an instant thermocouple map of the hottest and coldest spots is visually displayed, both on-screen and in the printed report; and input of correction factors using the TUS Wizard.

Many heat treatment plants are already using Datapaq systems to monitor surveys from within the furnace saving unnecessary downtime and reducing costs.
