Global Lab Image/2, for scientific imaging, and DT Vision Foundry machine vision software, have both been reduced in price for universities and colleges in a bid to encourage universities to adopt the technology.
"Data Translation appreciate that educational users don't always have a large budget available to them" explains Nigel Doe, UK Sales Manager "but we also recognise that itûs important for universities to keep in touch with the latest technology being used in industry today, which is why we're offering these new software packages at such low prices".
Global Lab Image/2 is down from £1,695.00 to £495.00 and DT Vision Foundry from £3,450.00 to £895.00.
Global Lab Image/2 is an object-oriented, scientific imaging software package that makes it easy to develop complex applications.
The software is ideal for scientific applications requiring measuring, classification, counting, size distribution analysis, and other measurements, and it supports most Data Translation frame grabbers.
DT Vision Foundry is a machine vision software package that makes it easy to develop simple or complex applications.
Machine vision software is used in industrial applications to inspect the quality of items on the production line, either moving or stationary, guaranteeing 100% inspection therefore helping to eliminate quality issues.
DT Vision Foundry provides the user with an easy-to-use, intuitive package capable of simultaneously inspecting various parts of an object and interfacing easily to production line situations.
Price and availability Both software packages are available now from stock.
All associated hardware such as frame grabbers, digital I/O boards and accessories, are available from Data Translation with a standard 5% educational discount.
