Test and Measurement World has chosen Data Translation's machine vision solution DT Vision Foundry 2.5 as one of twelve winners of the "Best in Test" Award for 2000.

Test and Measurement World, the leading test publication serving the electronics industry worldwide, has chosen Data Translation's machine vision solution DT Vision Foundry 2.5 as one of twelve winners of the "Best in Test" Award for 2000.

According to Test and Measurement World, these products represent the best test products released between November 1, 1999 and October 31, 2000.

After reviewing approximately 120 products, Test and Measurement World's technical editors collectively selected the winning products using the following criteria.

The products had to advance significantly the field of test and measurement technology in the industries in which the products are used.

In addition, the product's new and unique features had to surpass other similar products in the marketplace.

"It's a great honor to be recognized by Test and Measurement World, which is considered a definitive editorial source for the test and measurement industry," said Fred Molinari, President and CEO of Data Translation.

"This award also reinforces Data Translation's leadership position to advance machine vision technology worldwide." Introduced in October 2000, Data Translation's DT Vision Foundry 2.5 is a fully integrated, all-in-one machine vision solution that combines powerful vision tools with multiple programming environments to perform robust, flexible, easy-to-use visual inspections.

DT Vision Foundry's distinguishing feature is its unique multi-tier architecture that allows both novices and advanced programmers to use the system in the manner that best fits their expertise and application requirements.

As the recipient of The Best in Test Award, DT Vision Foundry is eligible to receive the Test Product of the Year Award, which is Test and Measurement World's Readers' Choice Award.

Subscribers to Test and Measurement World are welcome to vote for one of the twelve Best in Test products that they believe deserve this highest award of the year.

Votes may be cast online at www.tmworld.com.

The deadline to vote is February 5, 2001.
