Al Haun, EDN Magazine's editor-in-chief, states, 'This exclusive awards program, now in its 12th year, is dedicated to honoring truly outstanding engineering professionals and products in the electronics industry.
One of the main goals of the Innovation Awards is to spotlight excellent performance and creativity, and in turn, instill and encourage these virtues in others in the industry.' According to Fred Molinari, president, founder and CEO of Data Translation, 'Customers and industry influencers, such as EDN Magazine, have recognized the uniqueness of DT Measure Foundry ever since the product was announced in September.
We are honored to be a finalist and look forward to meeting the needs of the test and measurement community with continued innovations.' DT Measure Foundry's breakthrough aspect-oriented programming lets programmers and non-programmers alike build test and measurement applications by simply using a drag-and-drop approach.
Without the need for specialized programming skills or physical wiring, users arrange whatever instrument functions they wish to test on a desktop.
They then activate these functions by selecting the desired hardware measurement source.
Windows' latencies are also minimized using a patent-pending approach allowing for high-speed uninterrupted data transfer.
DT Measure Foundry supports all of Data Translation's PCI and USB hardware functions.
Accessing vision and sensor data into measurement applications has been an unrealized goal in the test and measurement industry and DT Measure Foundry delivers on that promise.
DT Measure Foundry integrates with DT Vision Foundry, Data Translation's machine vision software package, to correlate vision and sensor data into measurement applications This advanced capability lets applications that must measure both vision and sensor data perform measurement tasks using the same user interface.
