The sweet taste of a fascia panel
Such was the early success of the Flapjack fascia that Datwyler had sold all its stock before the first consignment arrived from Switzerland.
Cat6 connection system is catching on
Datwyler's Unilan Ultimax UTP solution is being installed in a growing number of large-scale building projects around the UK.
Available components include a Power I-adapter for the attachment of an input/output cable of up to 5 x 16mm and an output adapter for up to two cables of 5 x 6mm2.
Connections are furnished through contact point screws at suitable locations along the entire length of the cable and also under voltage, avoiding stripping and cutting of the flat cable.
The external measurements of the flat cable are 48.5 x 11.3mm and the fire load is only 2.48kWh/m.
A single cable can be operated at electrical capacities of up to 40kW.
The Ecobus flat cable system is suitable for use in furniture, decorative walls, movable walls, or stud walls, in the cavities of ready-built structures, risers, or suspended ceilings, or in or underneath cable liners.
Possible applications include energy supplies for offices, apartments and workspaces, flexible inputs for machinery and computer cabinets, covering hotel rooms and classrooms, inputs for fuse boxes, energy provision for entire exhibitions and trade fairs, as well as of provisional buildings and tunnel lighting.
Because the flat cables are approved by a Lloyd's Register certificate, they can also be used for electrical installations in ship construction and on drilling platforms.
Ecobus flat cable system installations enable area-wide, secure energy supplies with a high degree of clarity and flexibility.
The energy to be supplied to workspaces, machinery, computer cabinets and other consumers can be tapped at any desired point using Ecobus puncture and connection adapters.
These installations allow problem-free reconfiguration.
The output cable is simply disconnected from outlets which are no longer needed and the IP65 cable is substituted through a screw-type dummy plug.
The outlet can then be re-used.
Product defects are virtually eliminated through factory testing of the components and the noninterchangeable coding of Ecobus connectors, adapters and flat cables.
