Compressor is quiet success in dry air unit
The Durr Technik KK15 "wobble piston" series has been constructed and designed to meet the optimum performance and technical standards required by Oxford Cryosystems for its new AD51 dry air unit.
Air keeps beer flowing
Compressor packages suit draught beer dispense systems for pubs, clubs, restaurants, amusement parks, football stadiums and anywhere large volumes of beer are consumed in a short time.
The models of the Marathon series are A-080, A-160 and A-234 with single-phase motors and B-160 and B-304 with three-phase motors.
All models offer IP54 protection as standard.
Precision-machined cylinder bore surfaces made of a special bronze alloy, matched to a unique PTFE coated sintered alloy piston ensures durability and wear resistance.
Combined with minimal piston ring tolerances and carefully matched sealed for life bearings, smooth quiet running is assured.
An integrated starting chamber offers the benefit of improved start up characteristics and reduced noise levels by damping the pulsations in the output compressed air.
Two fans built into the crankcase and motor produce a high throughflow of cooling air.
Combined with longitudinal fins optimum cooling characteristics over a large surface area are achieved, ensuring a high continuous running quality.
100% duty cycle operation is assured even at 40C ambient temperature and 10bar pressure.
The combination of these features reduces the whole life costs of Durr Technik oil-free compressors compared with the recurring expenditure for service and maintenance as associated with oil-filled compressors.
