Carbon fibre heating element provides advantages over resistive elements or tungsten filaments.

Imperial Quartz's carbon fibre heating element provides tight band infra-red wavelength throughput The heating element uses long high-tension proprietary grade carbon fibre strings as IR heating material

Compared with normal heating materials such as resistive elements or tungsten filaments, long carbon fibre has two advantages.

First, the carbon fibre heating element is efficient as it transfers 98% of the electricity into heat by light particle conduction.

This increases the life of the heater element.

Secondly, IR wavelengths are safer.

The wavelength used can be absorbed easily by the body with a penetration of 4 to 5cm which promotes metabolism and direct warming.

It also provides deep penetration in cooking applications.

Using a protected sheath of quartz glass surrounding the heating element, the heating tube is explosion proof.
