The Databrick IV range of compact, rugged industrial PCs is designed for the space-restricted workplaces often found in industrial, medical and datacommunications applications.

The Mobile Computing Division of Devlin Electronics has announced the availability of the Databrick IV range of compact, rugged industrial PCs, designed for the space-restricted workplaces often found in industrial, medical and datacommunications applications The Databrick IV PC has a wide range of mounting options, which enables it to be used in many different types of electronic equipment - industrial control units, hospital monitoring systems, aerospace equipment etc

The Databrick IV incorporates a Mobile Pentium M CPU with 1.1GHz Cache and 256Mbyte of expandable memory.

The standard data storage is a 20Gbyte hard drive, shock-mounted, with optional higher capacities and sold-state versions.

The physical dimensions are a very compact 228.6 x 152.4 x 44.45mm - smaller than most "nonrugged" notebook or tablet PCs designed for office use.

The Databrick IV enclosure is all-metal and lightweight, weighing just 1kg.

The Databrick is very power-efficient - it uses laptop components, is ACPI compliant, and consumes less than 20W.

The main features include a network-enabled onboard 10/100 Base Ethernet and PC card slot for 802.11a/b.

Three USB ports are also provided, plus digital video output for direct digital connection to the next generation of LCD monitors.
