An enhanced subcontract measurement service for dimensional, form and profile inspection has been set up by OGP UK at its fully equipped Derbyshire headquarters and training centre.
An enhanced subcontract measurement service for dimensional, form and profile inspection has been set up by OGP UK at its fully equipped Derbyshire headquarters and training centre.
Using advanced noncontact measuring systems from the OGP range - such as multisensor Smartscope systems incorporating the latest camera and image analysis techniques, laser measurement and touch-trigger probes - the service is fast and very capable.
The improved service is suited to a wide range of components and assemblies, from standard machined parts to those having complex profiles and contours, even smooth surfaces with little contrast between features.
A wide measuring envelope up to 600 x 600 x 200mm is offered and even larger components can be accommodated in many circumstances.
Unlike many inspection services, OGP's facility is able to constantly use the very latest instruments and software so that customers receive the benefits of leading edge technology.
With the added benefit of using highly skilled and experienced programmers and metrologists, the service offers industry-leading productivity and cost-effective results.
With a number of high-speed measurement techniques at its disposal, the OGP service is able to deliver the best results using the most appropriate technology.
Ideal for first-offs, ISRs, SPC charts, first-article inspection or comprehensive reports, the OGP subcontract measurement service is flexible and customer-led.
The capability includes accurate and repeatable measurement of difficult features such as narrow bores or even internal features in transparent material.
The sophisticated lighting and edge detection ability of the latest generation of OGP noncontact machines, with the latest multisensor features and software, makes them ideal for this service.
