Eastern Contracting is to strengthen its East Midlands based network engineering division with the addition of 30 new jobs.

Eastern Contracting is to strengthen its East Midlands based network engineering division with the addition of 30 new jobs.

The company has been working within the East Midlands region for four years, with organisations such as East Midlands Electricity, High Marnham and Drakelow Power Stations on various low/high voltage projects.

However, with further projects available to Eastern Contracting, it is looking to increase its resources in the area, including a significant increase in local staff.

Specifically, the company will look to the local area to employ senior authorised engineers, project managers, linesman, jointers and fitters, all with high voltage skills.

Brian Ling, Eastern Contracting's, Network Engineering Division, General Manager, comments: "We have experienced a rapid surge in growth in certain areas such as utilities and telecommunications since the creation of Eastern Contracting four years ago, and as a result we have recruited many new staff during that period.

In a time when the economy is experiencing a slowdown, we have been able to apply our skills and knowledge to adapt to current market trends.

The Eastern Contracting philosophy to apply our expertise and individual approach has certainly provided our customers with solutions, results and confidence, and as a result we are working to further expand our operations in the East Midlands region".
