Lockheed Martin Astronautics has purchased PSI - Plot Service for Pro/Intralink for plotting of drawings and exporting parts and assemblies in native formats directly from Pro/Intralink.

"PSI will be used as a significant module in our document control system", stated Richard Lawson, Senior Design Engineer.

"PSI automatically create plots of drawing when they have been promoted in Pro/Intralink".

"In addition, we are able back up entire rocket assemblies to a network drive in native Pro/Engineer format to support our local fetch efforts", continued Lawson.

"Etrage has been very responsive to Lockheed Martin's requirements for processing models in the PSI product".

PSI provides designers, engineers and administrators an automatic means of plotting or exporting Pro/Intralink objects to communication file formats such as native Pro/Engineer, IGES, PDF, DXF, HPGL and images files.

PSI has four operating modes for creating plots or files.

They are through web access, batch, command line or automatic monitoring of Pro/Intralink for objects promoted to an approved release level.

"The sheer number of models that require processing and the complexity of the Lockheed Martin Astronautics Pro/Intralink installation provided a considerable challenge", said Bojan Rapaic, founder and President of Etrage.

"However by resolving their issues, PSI continues to become a more robust and flexible product".

Ron Zabilski, Director of Sales and Marketing continued: "The enhancements to PSI will enable Lockheed Martin Astronautics to automatically process about 30,000 parts and assemblies for their visualisation application".

"They also plan to refresh these models on a weekly basis and automatically update the assembly as parts are changed or released".
