PDM 05 to feature heavyweight conference
The Plastics Design and Moulding event in Telford in April 2005 will feature a comprehensive three-day conference programme designed to attract a high-level audience from across the moulding sector.

ABB has published an "ATEX jargon buster" that helps motor users cut through the jungle of terms and definitions that make up the new ATEX Directives.
The opening session will be the "Moulding business debate", which will feature the senior managers of leading moulding operations discussing the challenges they face and their strategies for success.
Sessions aimed at designers and product development specialists include the two-part "Plastics design summit", the "New polymers" session and the "Mould making summit".
Technology and plant managers at injection moulders will be keen to attend the sessions on "Advanced processing technologies", "Automation in action" and "Efficient shopfloor operations".
The themed session aimed at senior managers of moulding operations include: "Moulding in global market", "World-class moulding", "People in plastics" and "Dealing with legislation".
Chris Smith, PRW's Technology Editor and Conference Manager, explained: "The presentations will be given by moulders, end-users and designers, providing impartial viewpoints, practical advice and the benefits of real-world experience".
In order to make the sessions accessible to a very large audience, ticket prices are being kept as low as possible.
Prices will start at just GBP 45 for a one-day pass and just GBP 95 for a pass covering all three days.
Tickets will go on sale in October.
Plastics and Rubber Weekly and its sister magazine, European Plastics News, are Europe's leading organisers of plastics industry conferences, running around 25 events a year.
The PDM 05 exhibition and conference will take place in Telford on 12th-14th April 2005.
The event has been developed with the input and backing of the founding partner companies.
These are Albis, Arburg, ATM, Battenfeld, Clariant, Distrupol, DuPont, Gabriel-Chemie, Husky Injection Moulding Systems, Motan, Netstal, Plastribution and Summit Systems.
