Two more plastics events set for Telford
next May
Key players in the plastics extrusion and thermoforming sectors have given their full support to the launch of two new UK exhibitions focused on their markets.
Key players in the plastics extrusion and thermoforming sectors have given their full support to the launch of two new UK exhibitions focused on their markets Extrusion, Compounding and Additives (ECA 06) and Plastics Forming and Cutting (PFC 06) will take place side-by-side at the Telford International Centre from 9th to 11th May 2006
Companies that have already reserved stands at ECA 06 and PFC 06 include Canon Shelley, CR Clarke, Formech, Plastic Extruders, Regis Machinery, Swanstone and Tripleplas.
The events are being organised by Emap Maclaren, the publisher of PRW and European Plastics News and the organiser of the Plastics Design and Moulding (PDM) event, which made its successful debut in Telford last month.
"As a result of the excitement generated by the launch of PDM, we were approached by leading suppliers of extruders and thermoforming machinery who wanted similar focused events for their sectors", said Andy Beevers, who is the Publishing Director of PRW and EPN and the show director for PDM.
"We have been working with them to develop the concepts for ECA and PFC to ensure that they meet the needs of exhibitors and visitors alike".
The new events will follow a similar format to PDM with a three-day duration and very cost-effective exhibition stand packages.
In addition, all companies booking a stand before 1st July 2005 will receive a 5% discount on the rates that are already significantly less than they are used to paying at other UK shows.
There will be a maximum stand size of 100m2 and no double-deck stands to ensure that every exhibitor gets good exposure and a good return on their investment.
The two shows will run side-by-side in separate halls with their own focused features.
Visitors will be able to attend both shows free-of-charge.
There will be separate conference streams for each exhibition running throughout the three days.
These will feature high-level presentations on key technology and business issues for the extrusion and thermoforming sectors.
"The response to the new ECA and PFC events has been fantastic, even more positive than for the hugely successful PDM launch", said Joe Opitz, Sales Director for Emap Maclaren's Polymer Group.
"The vast majority of the companies that we have spoken with feel that they are overlooked within general all-encompassing plastics shows and they relish the prospect of focused events for their particular sectors".
Eleonore Mayes, Director of Swanstone, said: "This is just what the UK thermoforming sector needs".
"Both suppliers and customers are not well served by general plastics events".
"PFC will provide a real focus for the industry and a great environment for sharing ideas and doing business".
Several key suppliers from the extrusion and thermoforming sectors visited PDM in Telford and were impressed by what they saw.
"PDM has clearly demonstrated that focused plastics exhibitions have real appeal for exhibitors and visitors alike", said Marketing Manager, David Langrish.
"Like PDM, ECA and PFC will benefit from the extensive market reach and industry knowledge of PRW, European Plastics News and PRW.com".
