Replace those filament lamps with LEDs!
Sussex based specialist manufacturer and supplier of commercial and industrial switch products EAO recommends the replacement of filament lamps with LEDs.
SIMCAS has 17 members over the two counties, and is part of a national scheme; the British Association of Immediate Care Schemes (BASICS).
SIMCAS is a voluntary scheme comprising both GPs and consultants.
The main priority of the scheme is for the volunteers to be able to reach critical patients within the first 'golden hour' - the most critical time period for the patients.
The scheme covers all areas within Sussex and Surrey, and includes particularly rural areas where ambulance stations can be situated some distance apart.
Dr Bruce Packham has been a member of SIMCAS for the past six years, and comments, "The scheme only receives a very small amount of funding from the health authorities.
Every donation is warmly welcomed, but it is particularly nice when a local company, such as EAO recognises our efforts.
It costs thousands of pounds to set a volunteer up with the correct equipment, as well as providing advanced driver training, so donations are a vital part of our future." All of the scheme's volunteers are on call as much as they are able, as most are also in full-time employment.
Supplied with bleepers and ambulance radios, they are able to be advised when an accident has happened, and what the progress is.
Darren Champ, Purchasing Administrator of EAO Ltd, is pictured presenting the cheque to Dr Bruce Packham of SIMCAS.
The funds will be used to purchase a new ambulance radio, as shown in the photograph. Request free introductory details about products from EAO ...
