EAO has introduced the new illuminated shaft 62A Series of Grayhill Optical Encoders The 62A series of optical encoders are now available with the option of a LED illumination through the shaft and is ideal for lighting the control knob

A choice of coloured LEDs is offered, and the 62A range is both economical in size and price.

Available in 16, 20, 24 and 32 detent positions, the encoders are optically coupled for more than a million cycles.

The 62A range can be PCB or panel mounted with either PCB pins or cable with a connector.

A choice of cable length and terminations can be supplied on request.

The Grayhill 62A range includes a high torque version to emphasise the rotational feel of the encoders.

An optional integral pushbutton is offered, and the 62A range is SMOS, TTL and HCMOS compatible.

The 62A range is typically used to set radio frequency, drill depth, RPM, menu selection, and parameter selection for patient monitoring devices.
