Switch manufacturer, EAO Ltd has inttroduced the latest in easy-installation pushbutton technology with its new range of Series 71 snap-action switches.
Developed for the recording industry and medical test and measurement equipment markets, the 61S has digital control applications for audio mixing consoles, patient monitoring equipment, dialysis and ultrasound equipment, oscilloscopes and machine tools.
The 61S can be customised to meet a wide range of customer requirements.
It is available in 50, 64, 75, 100 and 128 quadrature cycles per revolution.
An option of either 1/8" or 1/4" shaft diameters adds versatility in the choice of knob size.
The larger version is ideal for jog wheels on audio equipment or on machine tool applications where the operator might be wearing protective gloves.
The smaller shaft allows a number of controls to be packed within a confined space.
Supplied with either PCB pins or cable termination (and choice of cable length), the 61S range has a 10 million-cycle life and is compatible with CMOS, TTL and HCMOS Logic.
Operating voltage of the 61S is rated at 5.0 ñ 0.25 Vdc and its supply current at 50 mA maximum at 5 Vdc.
