Replace those filament lamps with LEDs!
Sussex based specialist manufacturer and supplier of commercial and industrial switch products EAO recommends the replacement of filament lamps with LEDs.
This feature gives the 60A joystick, with an expected life of 500,000 actuations in each direction, a much longer life and higher reliability than any mechanical alternative.
The rotary and pushbutton switch elements have a life of one million rotational cycles and one million actuations respectively.
The 60A, featuring an optical encoder, a pushbutton and a joystick in one shaft, has been developed for the automotive, medical, avionics and industrial/commercial markets.
Expected applications will include GPS and driver information systems, robotics, radio and ultrasound equipment control.
60A's high level of specification means that the joystick is suitable for military applications as well.
The 60A can be customised to meet a wide range of customer requirements.
The customer can specify the length and diameter of the shaft as well as the number of joystick positions.
Similarly, the customer can select the number of rotational clicks and the preferred torque on the rotary switch element.
Supplied with either PCB pins or cable termination (and choice of cable length), the 60A series is compatible with CMOS, TTL and HCMOS Logic.
Operating voltage is rated at 5.0 +/-0.25 Vdc and supply current at 30 mA maximum at 5 Vdc.
Power consumption is rated at 150 mW maximum. Request a free brochure from EAO ...
