Interlocking device integrates coded safety switch

A Comitronic product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jun 4, 2009

Comitronic is offering the Vigilguard stand-alone interlocking device with integrated coded safety switch.

By locking the guard closed, the device will prevent access to the machine until it has come to a safe stop.

The non-contact design allows a longer life expectancy.

This compact device features a coded bolt, recognised by the striking plate providing a tamper-resistant locking thanks to its electronic process.

Housed in a resistant metal housing, it overpasses heavy contamination, vibrations and poor actuator/switch alignment.

Main features include the guided and recognised bolt into the striking plate, the washable receiving strike plate with central hole for water release, and a double connector to ease the serial wiring.

The device can facilitate automatic serial locking and an energy-saving mode avoids unnecessary consumption.

It is easy and quick to install as no minimum closing radius is necessary, and it is sold with an M12 connector or cable.
