Engineering recruitment specialist EPCglobal has upgraded its online staffing solution.
The new version of EPCjobs.com features a staffing agency module; this is a vendor-management tool for EPCglobal's client companies.
EPCjobs.com Version 2.0 also includes new attributes that enhance overall website usability, and ease for hiring managers at EPCglobal's client companies, the company's internal recruiting staff and job candidates.
The vendor-management aspect of the Version 2.0 release charters a new business territory for EPCglobal.
"The ability to deliver this online service to our client companies introduces a whole new area of our business model", said EPCglobal's Chief Technology Officer Mary Inman.
"It will allow our (client) hiring companies to build a network of staffing vendors, and it will give our staffing agency partners access to job requisitions unavailable to them in the past".
This staffing agency module allows hiring companies to create a preferred list of partner staffing companies.
Then, hiring managers can post unfilled requisitions to their preferred agencies, and if those vendors don't come up with suitable candidates, the hiring managers can post requisitions to all available agencies.
On the flip side, EPCjobs.com Version 2.0 staffing agencies can submit job candidates to unfilled requisitions.
These agencies can also arrange interviews and accept contracts on behalf of the candidates.
Version 2.0 of EPCjobs.com features several other new attributes.
Overall website enhancements include performance upgrades to the most heavily hit pages of the website.
The home page was redone, a new login page was added, and notifications were added to keep users informed of progress in processing information.
Version 2.0 also offers enhancements for job candidates.
The most notable feature is an added link where job candidates can connect directly with recruiters.
