A four strong team from specialist valve supplier Econosto UK joined over 60 volunteers to raise vital cash for Leukaemia sufferers last month by abseiling down the side of The Holiday Inn, Leicester The 30m abseil was organised by The Anthony Nolan Trust to help fund important research into Leukaemia and save lives

The Econosto team raised over GBP 600 for the Trust and included Peter Gamble, Integrated Business Systems Manager; Alan Fletcher, Econ Valves Sales Manager; Ricky Madelin, Warehouse Supervisor and Chris Wright, Apprentice.

Peter Gamble was first of the four to step over the edge of the eight-storey building.

He said: "It's important to take some time out to demonstrate our commitment to helping local charities and raising awareness of the devastating effects of diseases like Leukaemia".

"It was a bit nerve wracking at first, but once I was over the edge I really enjoyed the experience".

Family and friends turned up in their droves to offer their support, including Kerry Gamble, who stood out from the crowd after recently dyed her hair pink to raise money for Breast Cancer.

Rumour has it that the intrepid four have developed a taste for adrenalin sports and are planning a charity sky dive next March.
