Bernard launches fail-safe spring return actuator

A true fail-safe electric spring return actuator has been launched by Bernard and is available through Zoedale and Econosto UK.
The design means the actuator depends only on power supply for normal operation and can operate without in a fail condition.
It can integrate with on-site control systems, is simple to commission and is low maintenance.
Self-locking gears make it suitable for modulation applications.
The design offers Class III modulation and incorporates a speed dampener to slow down the spring when needed.
For example, to offset water hammer due to rapid closure of a system, but can close rapidly in emergency scenarios.
The design conforms to the new Atex European Directive as well as other recognised international standards and directives.
The device is an efficient, ultra-low maintenance and low cost of ownership solution to reliable actuation needs.
