New Fast and Light Tractor Hydraulic Kits Deliver Faster Tipping Speeds and Reduced Trailer Weight for Higher Payloads
Faster truck turnarounds for improved profitability, and reduced trailer weights for improved payloads, are the benefits provided by Edbro's new Fast and Light tractor hydraulic kits for articulated tipping trailers.
The new kits are available for common tractors units from manufacturers such as IVECO, Scania, DAF Volvo, and many others; however, Edbro's massive stock of parts, which provides everything from PTOs to cylinders, means that the kits can be matched to almost any type of tipping application.
Furthermore, as all the kit items are in stock, next day service is standard.
Designed to be fit-and -forget units, the tractor kits are performance tried and tested to last the life of the vehicle.
The Fast kit is aimed at truck operators who require quicker turnarounds from their vehicles to improve productivity.
Providing 20 per cent faster tipping speeds, the kit can be matched to virtually any cylinder and gearbox output; it is robust, reliable, easy to fit, and employs the high flow characteristics of Edbro's CT200 hydraulic valves, plus a high-flow pump, or twin wheel PTOs (depending upon truck and application) to provide faster tipping speeds.
The combination of this kit and Edbro's new generation of tipping cylinders- with their one-piece tube construction and greater contact area, - delivers even faster tipping speeds, up to 60 per cent in some applications.
The Light kit is has been developed for both truck operators and body builders.
For operators, the kit facilitates higher payloads and improved efficiency, while body builders, who are building to a weight specification, benefit from a specially designed system, which delivers weight saving by employing an aluminium tank and light- weight accessories.
In both cases, if the tractor kits are combined with Edbro tipping cylinders, then weight savings are optimised even further.
These savings are not achieved at the expense of strength, flexibility or performance.
In common with the Fast kit, the combination of matched components, which are harmonised for specific tractor and trailer types, and extensive technical support from Edbro engineers, provides a package that delivers easy installation for the body builder, and maximum performance and reliability for the user.
The Fast and Light tractor hydraulic kits extend the number offered by Edbro to three.
The third unit, the Standard kit, is Edbro's original offering.
Like the Fast kit, it uses a steel tank, but differs from the latter - and the Light kit - by employing a lower flow pumping system.
In addition, the two newly- introduced kits employ slightly larger and higher flow valves for improved flow performance.
