EDTC to provide support for engineering ideas

An EDTC Technology Gateway product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Nov 6, 2009

EDTC Technology Gateway will be providing support services at the Manufacturing Technology Scotland show, which is scheduled to take place on 11-12 November at the SECC in Glasgow.

Technology advisors from the company will be able to offer free, comprehensive support services.

The organisation recently provided Tanya Ewing, a housewife with an idea for an energy-saving device, with the specialist support she needed to make her concept a reality.

Ewing's idea was for an energy meter with a visual indicator of energy consumption within the home.

Three years later, the device is now in production.

The services provided by EDTC Technology Gateway include defining the product specification, guidance through the product development process and support in selecting a manufacturing partner.
