More than 8500 products for the European marketplace will have lower prices in January 2007.

As a result of substantial improvements in global operations and distribution, Edmund Optics (EO) announced that more than 8500 products for the European marketplace will have lower prices in January 2007.

This price reduction further supports Edmund's position as premier supplier of precision optics at an affordable price.

As the company unveils it global pricing policy, it is clear that European customers will enjoy the greatest price reductions - as much as 24% - because of the weakening US dollar.

EO can capitalise on this trend because of its ability to fill European orders locally.

"Our aggressive price reductions in Europe combined with our ability to ship EO products the same day will provide tremendous value and service to our European customers", noted Edmund Optics CEO, Robert Edmund.

"We were able to execute a global pricing policy that is dynamic and responsive to currency fluctuations".

"That pricing policy is critical to our international service objectives".
