Strategic role for Tecnomatix
Technologies
Tecnomatix Technologies has joined a select group of industry powerhouses in the recently redesigned UGS Partner Programme's top tier as a Strategic Partner.
As UGS continues to roll out its new corporate programmes, Tecnomatix Technologies joins a select group of industry powerhouses in the recently redesigned UGS Partner Programme's top tier as a Strategic Partner UGS, a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services, established its global partner programme to provide clients with the industry's most complete solutions for PLM
The Strategic Partner designation includes those companies described by UGS as having "a broad and long-lasting relationship with UGS that crosses many organisations and geographies".
Tecnomatix first announced a joint product development and marketing alliance two years ago with UGS (then part of EDS) in a move described at the time by the industry analyst firm, CIMdata, as "a major event within the digital manufacturing application segment of the PLM market".
CIMdata's Ed Miller added that the alliance would have "a significant impact on manufacturing companies and PLM suppliers alike".
According to Chris Kelley, Vice President, UGS Partner Programme: "One of the driving forces behind this newly energised programme is to address the needs of our valued business partners throughout the world".
"In addition to providing our partners with increased access to our state-of-the-art PLM technologies, the UGS Partner Programme creates a greatly simplified path to expand our partner relationships into new areas while enabling increased visibility into UGS' sales and marketing campaigns".
"The end result will help fuel our growth and our partners' success".
"By partnering with UGS, we offer our mutual customers a combination of best-in-class, field-proven manufacturing process management (MPM) domain expertise from Tecnomatix, along with the enterprise scalability of UGS' E-factory digital manufacturing solutions", said Amir Livne, Executive Vice President, Business Development and Strategic Alliances at Tecnomatix.
"This comprehensive, open architecture solution assures customers that the value of their PLM systems will match their business growth and as they incorporate new technologies".
"Tecnomatix is proud to be in the select company of those industry leaders who have formed strong strategic relationships with UGS", said Jaron Lotan, President and Chief Executive Officer of Tecnomatix Technologies.
"We have been working closely with UGS for the past two years to develop the comprehensive, integrated solutions that our mutual customers need to reduce operating costs, increase productivity, and bring better products to market faster".
"Our strategic partnership with UGS, and our shared goal of the continued integration of solutions into the PLM landscape, will deliver a truly open, collaborative environment to our customers and revolutionise the way enterprises manage the production process lifecycle".
Earlier this year, Tecnomatix and UGS also announced significantly enhanced interoperability between eM-Plant, the production and logistics visualisation tool from Tecnomatix, and Factory CAD, the 3D factory layout software solution from UGS' E-factory portfolio.
The combination of these two powerful systems offers best-in-class logistics analysis with advanced 3D plant layout capabilities to provide manufacturers a powerful, integrated solution for designing factories and maximising their productivity.
