UGS is shipping the English version of Solid Edge Version 19 and will ship nine additional languages throughout the next 10 weeks.

Understanding the rapid changes taking place in today's global manufacturing market, Version 19 builds on Solid Edge's position as the most cost-effective, complete and open solution for 2D and 3D design and collaboration.

UGS added hundreds of customer-requested enhancements, complementing new capabilities for motion simulation, assembly and disassembly videos, 3D design annotation, as well as visual collaboration tools that leverage the open JT data format, the world's most widely used lightweight format for sharing 3D product data.

"We enjoy being part of the development process with UGS - they listen to their customers", said Marie-Claire Loiseau, CAD Manager, De Dietrich Thermique.

"Version 19 provides valuable collaboration possibilities, speeding the design process by making it easy to communicate".

New features improve creating, sharing and managing design information, including: full motion simulation; animated and dynamic documentation; product manufacturing information; JT file sharing; a new suite of manufacturing solutions; AutoCAD data workflow; and support for Microsoft Windows 64bit OS architecture A complete V19 highlights PDF is available online.
