Elpro Technologies has improved its 240U-E industrial wireless Ethernet and serial device server with powerful additional features The 240U-E is designed for high speed wireless data connectivity in heavy industrial environments

The 240U-E now provides 802.11 wireless distribution system functionality, allowing a self-organising and self-healing 802.11 wireless mesh to form throughout a process plant or factory.

This new feature significantly enhances the usage of industrial 802.11 technology by: greatly increasing the distance of coverage of an 802.11 network; and providing self-healing redundancy during failure events.

Elpro's 240U-E product provides multiple Ethernet and serial connectivity simultaneously as a multiport device server, controlling communications to multiple devices.

In the one unit the 240U-E provides: access point, bridge and router device server and mesh repeater.

The 240U-E is designed for industrial use with military-grade security encryption, high RF power and superior receiver sensitivity and industrial temperature specifications.

As with all Elpro products, the 240U-E carries a lifetime warranty.
