Learn geometric tolerancing at home
Training software lets users learn geometric tolerancing fundamentals at home, at their own pace and when it meets their schedule.
ETI has used advancing technology to make computer-based training more like the classroom with features like instant lesson feedback, technical animations that demonstrate concepts, and audio narration, including over 100 author's comments that give tolerancing insights from course developer and ETI President, Alex Krulikowski.
Other highlights include 3D solid part examples, geometric control application and inspection examples, and a full glossary of GD and T terms.
With these new features added to the GD and T Trainer's student-focused lessons, user-friendly navigation, and detailed full-colour graphics, the new Professional Edition rivals the classroom for expertise, consistency, convenience, and affordability.
Course administration tools allow up to 2000 student records and include a variety of advancements that make recording, accessing, and reporting student progress more manageable.
"The GD and T Trainer Professional Edition is the most exciting product Effective Training has developed", Krulikowski said.
"The technology integrated into this course allows computer-based training to more closely parallel an actual classroom setting than ever before.
Users receive a more 'hands on' approach to learning with animations that show exactly how a symbol is interpreted.
Students can visualise a concept and understand it more readily, and-best of all-students can learn at their own pace".
The scheduled release date for the GD and T Trainer Professional Edition is 2nd February 2004.
Based on the ASME Y14.5M-1994 Standard, it includes 28 lessons covering the basic rules, definitions, and concepts of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and includes quizzes that reinforce the material and allow students to gauge their level of understanding.
It runs on Windows 98se, NT, 2000, Me and XP operating systems.
