Effective Training has released the second in a series of digital kits for instructors, educational institutions, and others who develop their own GD and T training materials.

The "Digital instructor's kit: advanced concepts of GD and T" contains everything needed to teach the advanced concepts of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing on one self-running CD-ROM.

The software saves hundreds of hours of course preparation time and is a cost-effective and convenient alternative to developing training programs from scratch.

Based on the ASME Y14.5M-1994 Standard, the Windows-based program is designed for use with a computer and a multimedia projector.

The course is based on and crossreferenced with "The advanced concepts of GD and T" textbook by Alex Krulikowski, noted educator, author and expert on GD and T.

Krulikowski has a degree in industrial vocational education and more than 30 years of industrial experience putting GD and T to practical use on the shop floor.

"Instructors who teach GD and T advanced concepts will welcome the convenience and portability of these materials", Krulikowski said.

"Over 450 lesson slides are packaged on one CD-ROM.

It's also beneficial for companies who develop their own training materials.

They can take advantage of my years of GD and T teaching experience and save the time and expense involved in creating an advanced concepts course for their employees.

The Advanced Concepts of GD and T Digital Instructor's Kit simplifies GD and T training for everyone".

The software training package includes over 450 full-colour digital slides, reproducible course agendas, handouts and quizzes.

The touch of a button reveals definitions and examples point by point.

Drawing tools allow instructors to "digitally" draw on the slides.

Photographs of real parts help students understand the application of GD and T on the job.

The reproducible course materials open instantly with Adobe Acrobat Reader and can be printed effortlessly.

It uses keyboard or mouse navigation.

The Digital Instructor's Kit: Fundamentals of GD and T will be released in the third quarter of 2004.
