The "Fundamentals of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing" course from Effective Training (ETI) is now available online.
It is offered exclusively at the ETI Learning Center, a web-based training site that offers convenient, affordable GD and T training through courses that can be taken online in the home or workplace.
The fundamentals course is based on ASME Y14.5M-1994 and includes 28 student-focused lessons covering the basic rules, definitions, and concepts of GD and T.
Lessons from the course are also available as individual modules, so students with partial knowledge of geometric tolerancing can learn or refresh a specific GD and T topic.
To celebrate ETI's 20 years as a GD and T training and consulting company, for a limited time it is offering the complete fundamentals course at 50% off the regular price.
The highly interactive course takes approximately 28-30 hours to complete.
It features audio narration, instant lesson feedback, and quizzes that reinforce the material.
Lessons contain geometric control application and inspection examples and 3D solid part images.
Other course highlights include user-friendly navigation, detailed full-colour graphics, technical animations and a full glossary of GD and T terms.
Over 100 tolerancing insights from GD and T expert and ETI President Alex Krulikowski are also included.

The "Fundamentals of GD and T" web-based course is available online to individuals, educational institutions, and organisations.
ETI provides student support for all of their training through a discussion board and a variety of other resources.
Students who register for the complete GD and T course before 30th September 2005 will receive the $450 course for only $225.
