Online training boost dimensioning skills

An Effective Training product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jul 29, 2008

Live web training is an authentic real-time classroom with an instructor teaching concepts and answering questions live over the internet.

Effective Training is offering instructor-led live web training.

Unlike automated web-based training, live web training is an authentic real-time classroom with an instructor teaching concepts and answering questions live over the internet.

Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GDandT) live web training allows flexible scheduling, while still offering all the benefits of face-to-face delivery.

It includes live video of a certified ETI instructor with real-time audio communication and uses ETI's instructional presentation and materials.

ETI provides technical support for setup and a 30-minute pre-session that includes audio, video and internet software optimisation.

"With rising fuel costs, GDandT live web training is a very cost-effective, convenient alternative to onsite workshops", says Alex Krulikowski, President of Effective Training.

"It's comprehensive, interactive and allows the instructor and students the ability to give, receive and discuss information".

"It provides all the features of the traditional onsite classroom but eliminates travel time and expenses".

Live web training fills the gap between classroom training and self-paced e-learning and requires no specialised equipment.

It runs in a web browser and requires a computer and multimedia projector, high-speed internet access, a phone line for teleconferencing and an optional web cam.

Individuals who need GDandT training can attend ETI's live web GDandT public workshops.
