Epsilon Test Services' innovative portable appliance testing has led to the company achieving a place in the Department of Trade and Industries Innovation Awards.

The awards recognised Epsilon's technological advance in portable appliance testing.

The judges felt that Epsilon's solution, which employs handheld computers that allow its engineers to cut the time to collate test data dramatically, demonstrated innovation and sustained use of technology to improve its business through mobile and wireless technology.

Held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London and presented by Energy and E-Commerce minister, Mike O'Brien, the awards recognise and reward those organisations that have demonstrated excellence through the use of the Internet and other information and communication technologies.
