Easy mounting for safety limit switches
The new Senator range of safety limit switches offers OEMs the standardisation benefits of a wide range of actuator heads, all of which can be rotated in 90-degree increments for ease of mounting.
The new Senator range of safety limit switches from Allen-Bradley Guardmaster offers OEMs the standardisation benefits of a wide range of actuator heads, all of which can be rotated in 90-degree increments to allow ease of mounting on equipment such as guard doors, machine beds, crane arms, lifts conveyors and elevators The Senator range is the ideal OEM product, offering seven actuator types, exceptional mounting flexibility, IP66 ingress protection and a comprehensive raft of conformances and approvals, including EN50047, CE cULus and TUV, that guarantee wide acceptance across global markets

Safety switches preserve productivity
The SensaGuard will shut down a machine if a failure occurs before there is a demand on the safety device, which improves machine operator safety.
Safety interlock switch adds escape release
Improved safety provision for machine operators is provided by Allen-Bradley Guardmaster's introduction of a new escape release facility for its TLS-GD2 safety interlock switch.
The ability of the user to specify either metal or plastic cases, a choice of snap acting, slow break/make with up to three contact configurations adds to the Senator's appeal as a global OEM product, enabling the specification of the switches to be more closely matched to the operating conditions in which they are employed.
Designed to satisfy the requirements of most standard applications, the range of Senator actuation heads includes, roller and dome plunger, hinge lever, short lever, offset hinge, adjustable lever and rubber roller.
These complement the positive operation of the safety limit switches, with forced disconnection of the switch contacts ensuring maximum system integrity.
The flexible design of the Senator contact arrangement means that a number of configurations are available: one or two normally closed with one normally open, or three normally closed, with the provision for an auxiliary (normally open) contact on slow break/make versions.
All of these versions can be supplied for operation on both AC (120, 240, 500 and 600V) and DC (125, 250, 500 and 600V) supplies, satisfying the majority of global voltage requirements.
Safety limit switches in the Senator range are protected to IP66 against dust and water ingress.
They can be mounted in any position and are offered with a popular M20 conduit entry option.
The switches are suitable for operation across a wide temperature range from -25 to +80C and are rated for a maximum of 6000 operations per hour, overall mechanical life expectancy is 10 million cycles.
The Senator range conforms to EN954-1, ISO13849-1, IEC/EN60204-1, NFPA79, EN1088, ISO14119, IEC/EN60947-5-1, ANSI B11.19 and AS4024.1.
