Custom directions on standard components

An Elesa (UK) product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Sep 11, 2002

Elesa-Clayton can now customise standard machine elements such as handwheels and knobs with logos directions, labelling etc to enhance usability.

Standard machine elements such as handwheels and knobs are the ideal solution to manual operation of equipment - now Elesa-Clayton is able to customise these items with logos directions, labelling etc, to enhance usability.

The addition of printed or laser etched graphics on standard components greatly adds to the value of engineering applications with specific features improving the appearance and use of the whole installation.

On plastic items a Tampo-printing process is offered.

This technique can be used to personalise most of the Elesa catalogue products by printing logos or graphic elements or by adding texts, indications, warnings or signals, which help to optimise the functioning of machines and equipment.

The process offers high performance in terms of quality and flexibility and has already personalised thousands of handles, handwheels, knobs and indicators, which soon gain a new life and personality.

Up to four-colour images either provided by the customer or developed by the factory Technical Department can be reproduced.

On metal products a laser engraving process is used to permanently etch the design into the component, although of course in this case without the colour possibilities of a print process.
