Problems of vandalism are fully addressed by the SFW/VP filler breather cap from Elesa, designed for use on equipment frequently left unattended This includes all types of materials handling, agricultural and construction equipment such as excavators, dump trucks, tractor units, generator sets etc, where oil/hydraulic tanks are vulnerable

The SFW/VP is a specific development of Elesa's proven SFW series, complete with overpressure vent and vacuum breaker features (to prevent underpressure tank collapse in the event of sudden drainage).

The unique vandal protection design incorporates a special locking key that may be readily kept with vehicle ignition keys.

A torque break device prevents over-tightening thread damage and there is a ratchet mechanism to prevent unscrewing without the special key first being inserted.

Consequently the technopolymer cap cannot be either over-tightened or unscrewed by intending vandals.

Because of its clever design the SFW/VP provides IP65 degree of sealing when vent is closed.

Thread fixing of the SFW/VP is 0.25in BSP and the unit comes with factory settings of 0.350bar overpressure and 0.030bar for suction venting.

Maximum working temperature is 120C making it suitable for many projects in arduous conditions around the world.

Where required, an oil level dipstick is an additional option. Request a free brochure from Elesa (UK) ...
